Green Dinosaur Smoothie Bowl

GLUTEN FREE, GRAIN FREE, DAIRY FREE, SOY FREE, EGG FREE, NUT FREE, PALEO, AIP FRIENDLY

This breakfast has got Miss 2 ridiculously excited in the mornings.  I am now awoken by two small hands cupping my face and a pair of wide eyes blinking hopefully at me.  The moment I reluctantly open my eyes she whispers, with her nose touching mine, “Di-no-saur bowl mummy? Please!!!! One, two, three, four, five di-no-saur bowls!  Pleaseeee?”
If you have a small child who is rather taken with dinosaurs then this is well worth giving a whirl!  My little love ate three entire bowls of this for breakfast yesterday and has continued to ask for it all day today.  I’m calling that a big fat success! 


Recipe
1/3 cup firmly packed baby spinach leaves
½ a large, ripe avocado (or 1 small, ripe avocado) 
1 mango, banana or pear (or a combination...mango and banana is my favourite)
1 cup coconut milk (more if you like a thinner consistency)
1 tsp pure vanilla essence
½ tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
OPTIONAL
1 tsp bee pollen
1 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tsp maca powder

Method
Place all ingredients in your blender and blitz until you have a silky smooth consistency.
Pour into bowls and decorate with your choice of toppings.
